Listen to the Content Creation Made Easy Podcast

I feel ashamed when something is easy

Back in December 2020, outlining my Q1 content topics, I’d planned to write about creating EASE for February 2021.

I had no idea the perspective I’d be writing from: being FORCED into creating ease because of physical pain & illness.

Since I feel shameful when anything is easy, learning how to invite in EASE is obv a lesson I have to learn repeatedly.

Kinda like I don’t deserve it if it came effortlessly. Only with hardship should I be awarded that thing!

SIGH. 🙄

Is there someplace in your life that’s feeling way too freakin’ HARD for you?

Why this thing has become so hard…it doesn’t matter

Let’s focus on creating a smidge of ease for you.

HOW!? Well…you know I love to share great resources!

Right before I got sick, I interviewed one of my favorite copywriting mentors, Marisa Corcoran. She helps people create UNcopyable messaging that magnetically attracts clients online.

(Listen in & you’ll hear COVID coming in my voice! I ignored it - and 2 days later was laid out.)

Our topic of convo? Creating more ease in our lives & businesses.

Here’s why I asked Marisa to speak with us: She’d come off a $250K 🎉 launch & was about to start a smaller project when she realized she hadn’t given herself a chance to celebrate…

She also needed energy to fully serve the people who’d just come into her world!

Exhausted, she needed a break.

THEN, she was diagnosed with a grapefruit-sized tumor on top of her ovary, requiring surgery.

She realized later if she hadn’t stopped pushing, the grapefruit on top of her little walnut-sized ovary surely would’ve stopped HER.

Entrepreneurs & creatives often feel a strong pull to keep creating.

To ✋🏼 FULL STOP ✋🏼 & hold ourselves against that pull is difficult!

Marisa’s stopping made her see all the old stories floating around her brain about “I haven’t worked hard enough.”

She wrestled with beliefs about feeling valuable by overworking.

(I have this story too and it’s simply BULLSHIT we must extinguish from our brains!)

Now, Marisa’s modeling for her audience & clients that overworking is NOT the way.

In our convo, she outlines the small steps she began taking to create more ease.

Listen or watch so you can learn the HOWs.

Making things harder because it’s ‘honorable’ is not a sustainable model.

Plus - check out this additional resource for EASE: Marisa hosts The Copy Chat twice a year - a free event to help make writing your COPY easier!

GOOD COPY is the KEY TO ENGAGEMENT.

(I can vouch for how good The Copy Chat is - high-quality interviews all about the HOWs. I learn a ton every season!)

Could your copy use some upgrading? A little love? Some great how-tos?

Grab your seat for The Copy Chat - it won’t gonna cost you a dime.

Remember ~ working harder because it’s honorable is NOT sustainable.

If we don’t find rest, it WILL find us, and not on our terms.

Enjoy the conversation with Marisa - she’s fun to listen to & shares excellent strategies for you!
