Unfortunately, I dreamed of being RICH RICH RICH!

It’s 1959 & your husband has unexpectedly died. You have two sons – 9 & 12.

Being a single woman in 1959, you don’t have an education or many options.

You go to work doing the only work you think you’re qualified for: cleaning at a local nursing home.

This is my beloved Mema’s story.

As a child, I had no idea what her job actually was. All I knew is she came home very tired.

I imagine now it was probably a physically demanding & relentless job for very little pay.

Though somehow she always had Peter Pan peanut butter (not that No Frills brand we ate at home) and Tang for her grandchildren.

But…it was still clear that we Grimms were destined to NOT have any money.

Unfortunately for me, I dreamed of being RICH RICH RICH!

My mom used to tell me we were “Rich in love”, and I remember laughing in her face.

Frankly, there was no place in my life where I felt rich, abundant, or even enough.

So – I was unhappy  - always wanting….

No one ever overtly said, You suck, Jenny! You can’t have what you want! You’ll never be rich!

But I believed that because of little things…

  • The way my parents talked about money. (Lesson: Money causes problems.)
  • The way adults talked about rich people. (Lesson: Rich people are selfish assholes)
  • The way they’d roll their eyes when I talked about wanting Guess? Jeans. (Lesson: you want too much & are never going to get it.)

Oh really? Well, the minute I got to college in 1988, I was given a credit card merely by stopping by a card table with a banner on it in the student union

And BOOM! FREE MONEY!

I bought & bought & bought and FELT RICH RICH RICH.

Until I got myself into an embarrassingly large amount of debt.

This was life through my late 30s.

I kept making the same mistakes with money & handed all money responsibility over to my husband.

Why? Because CLEARLY I can’t handle money! Clearly I’m a money fool – and it will always be that way, right!

CLEARLY I don’t deserve to be – and never will be – RICH RICH RICH.

Are we all destined to repeat the subliminal, subconscious lessons we learn?

NO. But until we become aware of them, we are at their mercy.

Your Money Story is fascinating – whether you grew up with a LOT of it or none at all.

What you saw as a child impacted you – even if no one ever talked to you about it.

Your brain recorded absolutely everything going on around you about money, wealth, finances…

And it still affects you today – even if you’re making more money than you ever dreamed possible!

Not understanding our relationship with money is one of the BIG 4 ways I see people holding themselves back in life.

It shows up with how they spend & track money.
With how they value themselves.

And it certainly shows up when it comes to pricing their services & goods.

I’m not a money mindset coach - but I’m lucky enough to know & work with PLENTY of them, and I swear by doing this work for yourself.

I’ve become an abundant person – not perfect at it, but my GOOD GOD!

The changes I’ve experienced simply from starting to look at & question my money story…

Has been LIFE CHANGING.

This month I’m talking about four ways we hold ourselves back from having all the things we really want in our life

How we can we restructure & re-design our lives so we can achieve our goals?

A foundational pattern we must restructure is our relationship to money.

How we think about it

& talk about it

& feel about it

affects how much of it we HAVE in our life.

That’s why today, I’m introducing you to Alexandra Taketa – a business coach, launch strategist, & author who helps women ACHIEVE their money goals by helping them overcome blocks to abundance.

In today’s interview, you’ll learn foundational & realistic ways to shift your thinking – ways you might not even know you’ve been sabotaging yourself.

You’ll also learn how once you change these old patterns that other aspects of your life heal –

and abundance comes in, not just with money, but with perhaps relationships, love, self-acceptance, time, etc.

Alexandra went from being a kid embarrassed to be on the reduced price-lunch program at school to making 7 figures in her busines by doing the kind of work she’s sharing with you today.

Be sure to stay until the end when you’ll learn how to access her free resource to get you started!
