Secrets of Effective Content Creation

There’s a meme going around that says, You’re cordially invited to a very special Zoom -

And the next pic is NOOOOOOOO!

I’m living for shit like this right now, because…any kind of online thing - holiday concert, artisanal craft fair, a New Year’s Eve party…

WHATEVER! I DON’T CARE HOW MUCH I WOULD DIG IT…I cannot get excited!

How ‘bout you?

I mean - yes, I’ll GO. I’m not a MONSTER.

(I’m starving for connections because I’m an extrovert…)

But I’m TIRED. Of my face. Of ZOOM backgrounds. Of the earbud & mic lodged in my right ear.

Your audience is TIRED too - which means they’re likely unfocused.

Don’t use this as an excuse to give up creating content for them -

Having the RIGHT content to share with your audience is a direct way to connect & create trust with potential new clients.

That’s why this month I’m sharing secrets of effective content creation -

to help you QUIT the mistakes I see WAAAYyyyyyy too many brilliant entrepreneurs making out there in the digital world!

Let’s talk about how to do content creation BETTER - not MORE.

You’ve gotta remember that even though your audience is tired & unfocused, their problems have NOT gone away!

Things have likely only gotten worse for your peeps.

Which means they need to hear from you…learn from you - be inspired by you - and connect with you.

  • But are you fire-hosing them with too many varied topics in a short amount of time?
  • Are your posts over-filled with information & directions & research?

If so, your audience is NOT able to digest it all.

They’ve got a LOT going on - your post, email, podcast, or video is just one nugget of information they must consume today!

And I know - you have SO MUCH expertise to share - and they need to learn SO MUCH before they can solve their problem -

But if you’re all over the place with your topics, saying TOO much, making it unreadable for them - you’re creating confusion.

A confused mind does NOT buy.

Keep it simple, sweetheart.

The simplest strategy?

Choose ONE overarching theme to talk about all month. A big problem your people are struggling with - and break it down into 4 or 5 mini-topics.

Each mini-topic becomes a week’s worth of content - blog - video - social posts - podcast. Whatever!

Suddenly you’ve got a month worth of content - and your audience stays focused with you.

This is my “fish food” strategy - give ‘em a little bit so they can take it, return to their castle in the sand, and eat it up!

When they’re ready for more, they come back to the surface!

No - they won’t get bored. You’re gonna make it sooooo delicious they can’t help but hang around you!

In fact, YOU’LL get bored with your content loooooonng before they will.

(THIS is the huge challenge for Creatives! You’ve gotta manage your mind around this.)

All last month I talked about making SPACE to allow in more of what you want for 2021.

Make space to allow in new clients, customers, & contracts by being consistent, AND without overwhelming your audience!

This simple system is my go-to blueprint for monthly content creation.

  • Learn EXACTLY how to put this “secret” into play -
  • PLUS see a real-life sample -
  • and how to repurpose ALL your content so you’re not re-inventing the wheel.

Oh! My genius assistant Jessica figured out how to make this a fillable document, so you can plan out your next few months without having to print a damn thing!

Putting these shifts into place has paid off BIG TIME for my Mastermind clients, who are in the throes of building & growing - using content with CLARITY!

You’re in business to help your audience - and to help them learn to know, like, & trust you. Fire-hosing them keeps them stuck in their problem -

So simplify. For you. AND FOR THEM!
