The 3 things you need to make your business GO!!

There was an ingredient missing in my business & I couldn’t figure it out!

The mistake I made? I kept trying spaghetti, and it wasn’t spaghetti!

As entrepreneurs in the beginning, we are wearing all of the hats. This is what I call throwing spaghetti against the wall.

In my first business, I used the same ingredients over and over again. I didn’t get the results that I wanted.

Stuck in Overwhelm

When I left my first business, I knew I never wanted another woman to feel as lost as I did in that moment. I felt like there was a recipe to growing a business sucessfully and someone was keeping the recipe from me! I just wanted someone to tell me what to do! I went to my husband during this time and asking the questions:

  • Are we going to make it?
  • Am I doing it right?

I talk to women on the verge of going to the next level in their business, but they’re losing their sanity. But, they don’t have the systems in place, or they don’t have the guidance to get tot hat level. They drive themselves crazy with the overwhelm!

The Missing Ingredient

The main ingredients of a business that can completely change your strategy for the better is:

Define who you are helping and what’s their problem.

You have to identify your ideal client! This is a surefire way to figure out where you are headed and what you have to do. So many of us try to do all of the things! We can help this person and this group of people, then take on this project and then maybe tack another one onto our schedule. But let’s be honest, this leads to overwhelm and a plate of spaghetti about to fall on the floor.

Recently a man reached out to me looking for help in his business. In the beginning stages of my business, I might have decided to take this client on, but because I’ve defined who I want to help...I didn’t. At this point, I focus more on the problems that women have in their lives. His business was also out of my realm of knowledge. I’m not his person. I’m not part of his spaghetti concoction that will get him to the success that he wants. I referred him to a resource that could aid him more, AND I saved myself from feeling overwhelmed!

Trying To Serve Everyone

If you are taking on more than you can chew, look at who you are trying to serve. Do you know who you help the most? I just wonder if you are throwing spaghetti against the wall and that’s your only ingredient. You know you help people. You know you have an awesome business. But you’re taking on more than what you are responsible for.

If you are trying to serve everyone, you are doing yourself a disservice. Get really specific. Stop trying to be all the things to all the people. Figure out what your niche is and simplify. Develop systems that help you avoid feeling overwhelmed and lead to growth in your business.
