This Committee of noisy critics lives inside our heads, bringing us thoughts like, 

“You’re so inconsistent. What IS wrong with you?”

“Automations & systems? HA! You don’t have time for that. Just keep patching everything together.”

“How is she so much further along? You started at the same time. 😩

“BRANDING? Ha! What you have can barely be called a brand.”

The Committee convenes for meetings weekly - sometimes daily or even hourly.🤷

How often does your IBSC meet?

Last week, I noticed my clients were consistently suffering at the hands of their Itty Bitty Shitty Committee members…

Confused about their emotions, sometimes on the brink of tears, definitely frustrated -

wondering what’s wrong with them because they

  • Aren’t further along…
  • Can’t make that really huge leap…
  • Keep swirling & circling in inaction…

The worst part IS NOT the analysis paralysis.

The worst part is it’s their OWN BRAIN beating them up about it. 

It’s defeating & exhausting!

It reminds me of that 1980’S horror movie bit (which only works if you’re old enough to remember land line phones) - 


We are doing this to ourselves, inviting in harsh Committee Members…usually someone from our past -

…no longer in our life. 

We let our brain wander to someone who literally doesn’t matter, has no bearing on our current life, and is usually not living a life we want to emulate anyway!

SIGH. WHY do we do this? 

So many reasons, from what I’ve found, this stems from old patterning inside our brains. Stories etched in long ago, most time subconsciously.

Are we doomed to suffer at the hands of our Itty Bitty Shitty Committee members?

I’m shouting this from the rooftops: NO! We are not DOOMED TO SUFFER!

To overcome the suffering at the hands of my IBSC, I’ve tried MANY healing modalities, including therapy & counseling. Energy work. Reiki. Yoga. Meditation. Tapping. 

Each one has been a vital piece of my healing old wounds, moving forward, and releasing harmful patterns…
